I was elated when I stumbled upon Natsu Summer's Hello, Future Day album. Full of bright, hypnotic, breezy city pop sounds, each track feels like it could be its own single. A track that stands out to me currently is City Lights.
City Lights is a flowy, mid-tempo vibe of a song, a synthy pleasure throughout. It could also be considered reggae. There's a nice little break where we hear steel drums. Listen to this on a drive into the sunset or on the sands of your nearest beach.
As I listen to it currently, I'm thinking to myself, "Damn. Classic city pop is great, but when modern city pop hits... it really hits."
